Sudhakar Ken McRae

Sudhakar Ken McRae is a nationally-registered
E-RYT500 yoga teacher who is the creator of the highly recommended Sadhana yoga and meditation CD series. He has been leading yoga programs and spiritual adventures in the US and internationally for the past eleven years. His teaching combines the precision of the Iyengar system with the powerful heart-centered, meditative aspects of Kripalu Yoga.

Currently living in Columbia, MO where he operates and directs alleyCat Yoga he also publishes Columbia's Healthy Living Directory. Ken enjoys cycling, hiking and preparing gourmet vegetarian food.

Prior to his move to Missouri he lived in Charlottesville, VA where he operated Peace Of Mind Center for Yoga & Meditation in a renovated pre-civil war church. He settled in Virginia following a seven-month tour of India and Asia where he studied yoga and meditation in the context of different cultures and religions. Before traveling, Ken lived and worked at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Lenox, MA.

Known for his meticulous good-humored instruction, Ken is a simple yogi offering an open heart and a commitment to conscious living. He has been studying, practicing and teaching yoga and meditation for over 34 years. As Director of Daily Sadhana at Kripalu Center, Ken managed the delivery of all daily yoga classes. In his role as senior teacher, he taught over 30,000 students. He has been the yoga consultant for articles on stress management for New Age Journal and Redbook Magazine as well as the creator of yoga posture demonstrations for a CNN TV documentary and a news cast for a major television station.
